Set date for oceanic servers etc?

Hi, just wondering if there are any set dates on the oceanic servers release date, and also when Ishgard housing will become available.

When looking on the buy endwalker page it states obviously that there is the new Ishgard housing with the expac, but i imagine the housing wont be on day of release?
I have also read that they will stagger plot release.
Is there any more info on this.

6.1 is what we know so far, a date has not been set. Id recommend wait for a liveletter for more details.

Ok thanks so 6.1 or beyond is all we know , so no need to get ready to either transfer or be on early to try to get a house on Endwalker release day :P

The problem right now is the global parts shortage. They can't give a guaranteed set date on new servers until they actually have the materials on hand.

Its likely they'll stagger housing release for the new data center to a later time after the data center opens, they did it with newly added servers in EU anyway. As for regular servers ishgard housing zone will release with EW launch, but houses won't be open for purchasing till a later time, also likely 6.1ish. They also plan on having some come with a new lottery system, think theyre planning on testing 1st with just a few wards.

It's not just the global chip shortage delaying the commisioning of Australian/Oceanic servers, although that definetely is a major issue - according to Yoshi it's also because of the pandemic, specifically ongoing border/travel restrictions and COVID-related lockdowns over the past few months in both Japan and Australia preventing Yoshi and his development team from travelling to Australia to personally inspect potential server hosts (which has to be done in person, it's simply not possible to do so virtually).

However with infection rates in both Japan and Australia dropping and border restrictions loosening in the near future this will hopefully no longer be an issue, but like everything it still means delays.

At the moment SE have just given a vague 'early 2022' statement about when the Oceanic servers will probably be live, but everything is just up in the air at the moment. All you can do is have patience sadly.
