Cause he is basically now also a XIV streamer, got invited to the media tour. Had a interview with Yoshi P. himself. And thus very much a part of this community.

Forum likes don't mean anything and if you put worth into likes and all this crap i advise you to rather spend your time on reddit and not here. Not all people on this planet do stuff just for "likes" though i feel like you can't understand that.

Edit: Not to mention that Asmon also visited Memorials back then when Reckful passed away. He even posted a tweet about it with a R.I.P. so if you really think all the empathy in the world is just cause people want attention then i really feel sad for you, cause you obviously can't.

I didn't lose my mom but I lost my dad around the same time. He died in July.

Aye I lost my father last August. Losing a parent when you are young is rough. They left before they got see the fruit of their labor and see what shape your life will take moving forward.

Mine died last year june of 2020. Only immediate family allowed in the hospital room 1 at a time. Though she didnt have covid, the hospital still had heavy restrictions. Losing your mom sucks bad for most people.

My dad got lucky when he had a heart attack and wasn't doing anything dangerous at work and had people around him that called right away.
And he recovered very swiftly.

I'm not super old, but I still can't believe I would live in a time where posting a condolence or a short memorial for anyone would be considered attention seeking. It's so sad to see people assume the worst in others, whatever "side" you're on.

that‘s because they are reflecting their own personality on others. some people are wired in a way that they automatically assume everyone must behave, feel and think the same in certain situations. they think people do it for attention because they themselves lack empathy and can‘t wrap their minds on the fact that people are genuinely touched by the subject.
the first thing that popped to my mind when reading the title was thinking about my parents, who are getting older and older as times seems to pass faster and faster. the thought alone of them not being here in the future is really dreadful and depressing. it just gives you an insight how much pain people must feel in such a situation.

He's still an FF XIV player and a gamer. I don't see an issue with showing a little support, even if it might just be for show for some. He has been known to browse forums. Chances are someone pointed this thread out to him with his following being so big, though he might have been a bit flabbergasted by some of what he saw. He posted a video yesterday detailing the events and his current state of mind, and he thanked everyone for their support. It's heartbreaking to say the least. Anyone who's lost someone dear to them knows exactly what he's feeling. Either way, this thread either served its purpose or wasn't seen at all, but I feel that it's the thought that counts. I'm not even a follower but I sympathize greatly.

Everytime I read about somebody's parent passing away---friend or stranger alike---always struck terror in me that reminds how limited my time with my mother is. Tried my best to cherish these limited time as much as possible, but everytime this reminder came back, my limbs loses its strength and feels cold. I'm scared to see the day I no longer feel the warmth in her arms. So badly. Every news about her being tired and stuffs alone is enough to make me worry excessively. I can't suppress this 'crybaby' in me, that's just how much she meant to me. Logically I know very well that it will happen inevitably, but how I can't stop the trembling in me. I can never be ready for that... is what I'd say.
