Hairstyles are nice, but would anyone else like more beard options?

They seem to be lacking in the game, your only option is the face selection.

I am literally only playing an Elezen because on of their faces had the beard closest to what I was looking for.

I mean, its clearly possible, look at Cid, he has a nice beard.

(Beards would also help those who would like their Characters to look older than 16 xD)

I think it's something about the engine, I don't know the specifics but they really seem to struggle when it comes to adding new face features when compared to hairstyles. In Endwalker they had to make a separate face that looks exactly the same as an already available one for Midlanders that have the stubble always on for instance.

i only play female characters so the option of giving them a beard would be interesting, iam all for it

I wish they added more beards for sure, or be at least able to use the beards from other faces already available.

It has something about the beards being tied to the faces and that makes it harder for them to make new looks. They really don't go back to make new faces for the old races, I think it has something to do with having to remodel headwear for the new faces at that point or something, not 100% sure on that.

As it is now the character creator only has so many allocated customization slots and not all tabs allow for the same amount of slots:
Essentially, beards are attached to individual faces and the old faces have their slots already full. In order for us to get the derplander stubble SE needed to make a “new” face thats actually a duplicate of an old face but with the stubble replacing one of the old customization slots.

Its not the cleanest of solutions..so hopefully in the future the creator will get an update

It would be nice, but if they have to do it like derplander and add more faces and forcing me to buy a fantasia for a beard, no thanks.

Beard options for female characters please

Yes please it's one of the biger reason's I don't play a male char. I'd love to have the option to have some actual real beards. Ideally something nice long and braided.
