Hate the slap emote

I really hate the slap emote and don't have any clue how to report it. Can't report in game since we can only report RMT.

I've only had complete strangers "slap" me with no clue why. It's brings up feelings of being abused.

It's the only emote I hate because to me it's flat out abuse.

You can report people through System > Support Desk > Contact Us > Report Harassment.
Based on a reading of the prohibited activities document, it sounds like the GMs will expect you to ask them to stop first, and then report them if they continue. Personally I think it's absurd to think it's okay for people to hit you until you ask them not to hit you, but I'm not the one writing the game rules, so...

Hate to be frank but ideally every emote is there for gaming purposes & if it simply bothers you that much you can always turn the emote text off.

Ffxiv is just an alternate reality where you’ll come across good & bad apples from all backgrounds just like RL.

Can’t keep seeking to catered to be sheltered all the time due to some inconveniences, triggers or otherwise.

Just walk away & go about your business.

PS: Only you through actions can bring reactive mixed results from most people

Do you really need a thread about this? You should be lucky that there is not an even worse emote like in other MMOs...

Emotes are a Part of the game...if you feel offended by something so trivial then you should turn emote Texts off..

Iam a Lalafell so should i Report everyone who pats me? Just come on..

To me personally this sounds like the same, unreasonable request like removing /spit from WoW. I am not trying to defend harassment here, but when you get that easily offended by some letters in a text box that don't even have an animation tied to it (as far as I know), then it is a You-problem... And for me especially it sounds like a You-problem of the same level as people being upset that their coffee gets cold.

The slap emote does have an animation tied to it. All emotes do, that's the point.

It is pretty annoying to have someone just slap you for no reason, I arrived at a FATE once and someone did it at me after I declined their request to join them because I was already in a party. People do have rude intentions sometimes.

From the way i see it, it is also considered abuse (of the goodwill of the Devs) acting like a spoiled child to petition getting ingame features removed, just because of your personal stance towards it.

Just use the Blacklist function. It is just a game and if your character gets slapped ingame, doesn't necessarily mean someone hates your guts.
