I’ve seen those. The preliminary notes don’t tell us what exactly changed. It’s very vague with the phrase “new actions and traits have been added for crafting.” That doesn’t really tell us anything.

It's what is available currently, so that's why I linked it. lol We will probably know a bit more with the complete notes sometime tomorrow. The only thing I would suggest is keeping an eye out for when they drop those notes on the Lodestone.

Crafting underwent its most recent massive overhaul in 5.1 or 5.2 already. At this point, they're less likely to completely redo it again, and more likely to add another bonus ability or two.

They're being intentionally vague about crafting and gathering in particular, though, to avoid having people jump the gun before maintenance and buy up materials that might be needed, like certain materia. They'll drop those patch notes on Friday after people have a chance to log in to the game at the same time.
