I want to change from PS4 to PC... Do I need to buy Endwalker on both plattforms to change my character into a male viera?

I only want to switch and not play on both plattforms.

No. Just buy it for PC and use the Fantasia on PC.

Do note, though, that if you don't have the currently available expansions on PC, you won't get access to those by having Endwalker till November. Might even need to wait till the official launch on the 23rd.

Just buy it for the one platform you want to play on. If you don't buy it for the other platform, you won't be able to log in on that platform if you log out of your main platform in an Endwalker area; however, if you're only playing on the one platform, this would be a non-issue.

This has never been the case in the past. Anyone who pre-ordered Expansion-Only received all expansions access at Early Access Friday. Only Complete-Edition people had to wait until Official Launch Tuesday because they strictly speaking didn't pre-order the expansion.

Thank you. Now of curiosity... what is when I log into ff14 on my PS4 and my character is a race who came with the expansion but I don't have the expansion on PS4. Can I still log in and see the "new" race? Or can't I even log in?

I suspect race won't be an issue so long as the character is already made.

I just wouldnt try to use a fantasia while on the platform with less permissions. And of course, if you log out in a new section you wouldnt be able to log back in on the lower version either.
