I've never touched DNC, and know next to nothing about its mechanics. If I was to start playing it at 80 right now, my first impression is to partner up with the SAM and the only reason why that's the case is because of the ShB LL back in 2019. Even though when I play SAM I almost always get Dance partner, it has always not made much sense to me because for all that player knows, I could be biggest joke of a SAM that ever SAM'ed.

Just pair with the dps with highest aggro regarless of their job.
but if all other dps are a big disappointment then you can pair with OT or MT and most Tanks loved that as far as I noticed.
