Hi
Can anyone tell me what this icon is for? https://www.dropbox.com/s/fhml2n19xs67dx6/icon.png?dl=0
If I look at my bow and click this icon the bow image gets some lights around it; that's as much as I know :-D

It means the item is high qualityWith gear, it means it has better stat than the normal quality one
Thanks for your reply :-) It seems a bit strange that I have to go in and click it for my bow though, so if I leave it alone I'm just working with worse stats?
Also, I'm a level 36 bard (my first ever character) and I've just read a ton of comments stating how bad an idea being a bard is lol! So I was thinking of going healer for a change but I'm a bit concerned that it'll be a more complicated character to play ( I just play for fun, I'm not one of those who analyses everything) I see that you're a White Mage, any thoughts? :-)
If you have to click the icon, your bow is not HQ, it just shows how the stats would be if it was HQ. (I think, I play on console, I don't really click on stuff)
At your level, it doesn't really matter. If you were lv 80, you would want a HQ bow if you went with a crafted bow
Edit: WHM is super easy, you mostly just spam your damage skill and heal when needed. I enjoy BRD, it gets a bit busy at lv 80, but not too bad. It has a few clunky skills, and I miss the stormblood version of it. But it's fun. I'm a very casual player, though.

Crafted items can have a HQ version. The non-HQ version is like a much lower item level than shown, but it's usually still better than whatever you had previously. The non-HQ version is usually sold by vendors and the HQ versions are sold on the market board or provided by main story quests.
It doesn't matter what class you are. The classes are balanced and anyone discussing otherwise is talking about small differences at level 80 that don't affect being able to beat content in most parties.
Some classes might be easier to play than others, bard is easy at your level and you can switch later if it becomes too much.
As a bit of advice. Whenever you reach endgame, never EVER buy non-HQ crafted gear for stats. If you buy NQ gear for stats, you basically wasted your money as NQ crafted gear is statistically equal to other gear that are multiple ilvls lower. This also applies to leveling gear too to an extent. In Shadowbringers, Scaevan gear is literally better than NQ lvl 79 gear you can buy from merchants.
If you are buying for glamour, then it doesn't matter, buy whatever is cheapest.
