Let's be honest, it was on newpapers when AV and PW had to be changed in difficulty because of the time to be killed was superior as 8h straight !

But in comparison, this (supposed) 6-24h timer lock, is far more difficult to claim land !
It make people either using a bot that repeat actions or sanity to spam the same loop with their mouse/keyboard/gamepad to claim the land.

I know things will change at Endwalker, but not for all plot. There will be fight, and there will be people that will still not have an house of their own, after months of tries.

It would be nice to lower that timer lock to 1-2h max, and make an in game lotery for people that are standing in front of the placard. It would reduce the number of bot script.

I've just spend 8h trying to claim a plot and still, had to compet with some people that even aren't in front of their screen.

Ah yes compairing fights in which about 36 ppl which were rotated in 18 man batches who had to pay 100% focus for x hours to clicking the mouse ...

AV was an Enigma of hidden mechanics that the players were unable to 100% solve even by now the best was a guesstimate of using your 2h skills to block out his 2h skills which one of them fully healed him. When players found loop holes (souleater zergs) they were patched out and deemed "not the right way of killing" multiple times, till they eventually raised the lv above 75 and just said "yea just zerg it".

PW was in a nigh unkillable status due to the many phases and also needed atleast 1 (i think it was 2) patches to even become remotely possible to defeat.

I know your salty but this isnt on the same level or even remotely close to it, SE stated they will change "something" in EW to make it more fair as far as i know and thats as good as it gets, but i agree that Ragnarok will likely never have enough houses and that it should scale depending on the server rather then a flat "for all servers" level.

The point is, Hours, not the fight. You also have to be focused on the claiming land for several hours, doing nothing just spamming again and again, until it is claimed or you give up.

housing is easy if compare to the orginal fight of AV (which if you remember was a impossible fight to win back when sea was relevant endgame in ffxi).

You don't and are not meant to 'focus on claiming the land'. If you sit at the placard nonstop for a whole day that's on you.
You're meant to back and check over a period of time. A plot is generally not available the first 10 hours as well. Biggest issue you're facing is if someone comes up and relocates to it -- which is fair game.

You do understand 'generally' don't mean always right?
We know it's random but data shows it more often than not available after 10 hours or more. But again, you shouldn't camp a placard. Do other stuff then go check time to time, between dungeons etc.

Or simply wait until the lottery is in place in 6.1 or get an apartment.

How do you know personally that the plot in question has been vacant for 2h?

Because it's either you found some that are impossibly below the average (that being 14 - 18 hours of Vacancy) or you are just outright lying.

Either way, the intention is not for you to sit there and click, hour after hour until it sells. But rather to have your tries (maybe stay there for a few minutes to keep trying) then come back later. It may not be entirely clear to many, but SE isn't trying to "waste your time". They want you to play the game and have fun, not sit there and mindlessly drone about.

I'm checking plot often, some get open, and i try my luck, sometime i stay half an hour, sometimes i stay more, and some of them, when i get back after 1-2h, are claimed.
How can you compet with others that are sitting all the night spamming if you get to do that ?

If it's been purchased when you come back 1-2 hours it very likely someone relocated there. It's instant.
