Because of the way quests are programmed, only the version of the characters at the Waking Sands will have the quest, even if they are t supposed to be there any more.

"Waking Sands Minfilia" probably vanishes after you've done her part of the quest and spoken to the other Scions in the main room.

Things you should check to work out your next step:

First and most importantly, have you unlocked any of the battles yet? Ifrit first, then Garuda, then Titan.

Is there a half-finished quest in your journal?

If you can't find a quest, you probably need to fight one of the primals before the next quest becomes available to you.

The overall flow of the quests is:

1. Talk to Thancred for the quest "Ifrit bleeds, we can kill it"
2. Visit the Immortal Flames HQ in Ul'dah
3. Find the aetheryte in Zahar'ak in southern Thanalan (quest complete)
4. Fight Ifrit

5. Talk to Papalymo for the quest "In for Garuda Awakening"
6. Visit Twin Adders HQ in Gridania
7. Find the aetheryte at Natalan in Coerthas (quest complete)
8. Fight Garuda

9. Talk to Y'shtola for the quest "In a Titan Spot"
10. Visit Maelstrom HQ in Limsa
11. Find the aetheryte in the U'ghamaro Mines in outer La Noscea
12. Fight Titan

so i went back checked only thing I got was new duties non primals and extreme for levi and shiva. i unfortunately pushed thru msq didn't do any side quest from minfila or thacard i sent all scions to rising stones and as u said the npc no longer show up in sands anymore

Did you check Minfilia's office?

Does Urianger have any quests for you currently?

Is Thancred in the main room? What does he say if you talk to him?

And have you checked the other two locations? Talk to Swift at the Immortal Flames HQ and check the aetheryte in Zahar'ak to see if it has either a quest objective or trial entrance point there.

urainger has no quest for me thancard only in stones drunk apperantly and im in minfila office it empty oh and swoft had np quest for me

Forget about Thancred being at the Rising Stones. At a game level that's a different NPC and has nothing to do with the quest you should be receiving from the specific version of him who is sitting at a table at the Waking Sands.

Since Papalymo's quest is showing up (but Y'shtola's is not) I would guess that you DO have the Ifrit trial unlocked but have not beaten it.

If you can't find it in your duty finder, go back to the Zahar'ak aetheryte (southern Thanalan X:35 Y:20) and look for the trial entrance glowing spot.

Ok, this is good info. That means that you for sure did the quest with Minfilia already. When you click on Papalymo to try to accept his quest, it should tell you exactly why you dont qualify to take his quest yet. If it says something like "must complete trial bowl of embers(hard)" that means that you should already have it unlocked and just need to que in. If it says something more like "must complete duty ???" then you havent finished unlocking it yet, and working backwards through the quest steps is a good idea(which would mean going to the aetheryte location Iscah mentions). If it says something about "disciple of war/magic" then you are likely trying to pick up the quest on a crafting or gathering job and the quest doesnt allow that(similarly, a class lower then level 50 would give the error that you need to be 50+). And if the error says you need to finish a quest, then odds are you have that quest in your journal and just dont have it set as one of the 5 active ones your HuD can display.

In case you do have it unlocked and just havent been able to find it, open the Duty Finder UI window. You want the 5th tab from the left(it goes question mark, blue cave entrance 1, blue cave entrance 2, teal scroll, red angry face 1 - angry face is the icon for Trials), then scroll the list as far down as you can. Bowl of Embers(hard) should be right above Thornmarch(hard) which you did for story while going through the patch 2.1 content.
