To start off, I have definitely made a ticket - actually two, one was regarding a different but connected issue - just have not received any confirmation, whether via email or anything else.
I am an Indian resident. The story begins in 2019, when the national bank institution changed regulations regarding recurrent subscriptions. All banks needed to adjust, but it seems despite it being 2+ years regarding that news, that still hasn't happened. Part of the reason I dropped WoW was when I could no longer subscribe, plus their removal of 1-month game time cards - that are instant payment and not recurring. When I first found out about the issue, I contacted Blizzard and was pretty quickly told that it's a bank-related problem. I was grateful for finally uncovering the full picture.
When I came over to FFXIV, I was happy to be able to play 2+ months for free - the free trial, and then purchasing Shadowbringers CE. Enter the time to pay for an entry-level plan (which I thought was a one-time instant payment as is stated, but apparently it isn't), and it failed. Twice I tried, once the initial attempt and second time the re-attempt, and it failed both times, even though I passed the 1 Euro payment check. I of course also tried another card - and that was the third attempt - which also failed. I received the error code responsible - 406 - and sent in a special form saying I have this problem.
Then I notice the warning that trying more than twice will be a bad move. RIP me.
Game Time card impossible to buy. Even if my game region fell under "EU and other", purchasing the card disallowed even the entry of India as a selectable country.
An acquaintance suggested I try PayPal -> Crysta, and I realize that that's a wonderful idea, even if I have to pay 20 Euros to cover my subscription. I want to play this game and don't mind paying extra until some other solution comes up. Alas, that was not to be. The anti-fraud had triggered; trying to even start the Crysta payment process gave me the dreaded 11000, which upon extensive searching told me I'd been flagged as a compromised account.
I'm now royally screwed. I've submitted a second ticket requesting this flag to be removed - sorry if it seems like I'm flooding the support, this is just genuinely shocking - and am biting my nails praying the words went through. I even thought of posting my issue on Technical Support and have an official person make me the ticket - sorry TS people - but it seems I can't post there. I have no hope to hold on to besides the two ticket numbers and the fact that tomorrow is live chat support day.
I just don't know what to do now. Of course I'm not expecting any official reply here. But this is just the only avenue I have left, no matter how indirect. If anyone is familiar with such issues please do chime in with your experience.
