Another thread about the mogstation items?
Unlike that other game it has been said time and time again that all profits from Mogstation purchases go directly to the dev budget of the game and not to general profits for shareholders. So no, the general population do not resent the mogstation as they see it as a necessary evil in order to keep the game going especially when SE was not giving it the $$$ it ought to have been.
OP, why have you made so many negative threads and posts ever since you re-subbed (as you mentioned in another thread)? Or was it a forum silence? I mean sure, of course everyone has a right to complain, but it's been a tirade - possibly to see what thread sticks?
SE is putting out satisfactory content with good rewards for engaging with it. Blizzard currently isn't, so seeing cool rewards locked behind a money purchase feels, to use a ye olde General Discussion turn of phrase, like a slap to the face.
I am personally against all cash shops for a subscription based game, but until SE falters people will continue to drink the copium about the "profits going directly into the game", or something that was more rumor than anything else. We shouldn't be shamed into feeling like we need a cash shop just because SE won't give Yoshi's team the resources they need.
People are already upset with the FF14 store (Cruise Chaser for example).
The difference is wow do it in a worse way than Square Enix, plus the fact the game is being supported partially or fully from the revenues and not end up in CEO pocket like in Blizzard, I think makes people more forgiving.
But the day we'd get a FF token, hell will break loose.
You can buy a WoW token for real money and sell it for ingame gold. This is legalized RMT. Such a thing does not exist in FF14. Everything you buy in the cash shop is not sellable for Gil ingame. But yes, the amount of things you can buy in the mogry station is big.
Cheers
In a word, no. I don't think people will complain that much, beyond the usual complainers we expect to see every patch.
Seems like a trend with OP when he don't get people to agree with his negativity he outs and say "solved" or "please delete" and delete all his replies.
