    Manga/anime themed fanart referencing what is largely an anime game? This is a real head scratcher, for sure.

    I've seen plenty of manga/anime artists with unique and memorable styles and still very much anime/manga styles. It's rare to see massively upvoted pieces that break the mold, though. It's like people took My First Manga Art Book and just never took to anything of influence.
