As long as it doesn't take over a big chunk of content again like the Nier raids, I don't mind more crossovers, but they're not something I really look for either. They're a nice bit of extra content to do for a day or two.

so you will ignore 2 of the last alliance raid (4.x/5.x) was collabs?Regardless of who or what team does the work on the collaboration, it’s still development time that could otherwise be put towards things more relevant to the game and NOT time limited like GARO.
The budget in both time and money is limited. I would rather a proper Christmas/Halloween/etc before..I dunno.. a Mario crossover.
Re:5.0 raids;
I bought Nier because of the announcement for 5.0 and I very much enjoyed the game for what it was, but the raids in 5.0 were very meh for me. I would have preferred almost anything, especially something that makes more sense in universe.
If it had to be a crossover, I wish they had done Secret of Mana utilizing the obvious reference from Qitania Ravel and the crashed Ronka fortress (Ronka being a Flying Fortress in FF5 and obviously the mana fortress from Secret of Mana).
as for what team do it is important as if you make a team for just this that other wise will not exist it do not take form nothing.
and where the problem? its take them some time but then it be ok. all i want from a collab is glams after all. do a small quest line and a fate to make it ell more nice.
I wouldn't really call the Ivalice raids a collab, at least not in the same sense as it's being used in the rest of the thread, any more than the Weapons or Cruise Chaser. FF games include throwbacks to previous games all the time. It's a series tradition.
We're still waiting on the XIV portion of the PSO2 collab that happened ages ago back in ARR/HW times. PSO2 players got to fight Odin in their game. Some people joked about fighting Dark Falz or some such over here.
I mean.. do you know the purpose of collabs? It's usually to aid the smaller IP in getting attention and new players. Generally the bigger you are.. the less to gain and thus less reason you have to collab. Look at our lovely game, we primarily have collabs with other SE owned IP's.. and that primarily to benefit those IP's.
The general reason for a collab is not 'let's give people cool shit from this game', it's all about business.

Regarding your suggestion of an extra team to handle collabs, they can't just pull developers out of thin. Yoshi-P has talked multiple times about the difficulty of taking on new devs able to to work to the standard they need, despite wanting a bigger team. If they got more devs, they would want them working on the main game so a separate collab team would still take away from development.
If it was made of a less skilled team if "learner devs" the resulting collabs would be of poorer quality than the rest of the game which would leave a bitter taste for players and could be considered insulting to the properties being collaborated with. Would likely result in less collabs as who wants their product to be represented by the worst content in the game.
You keep bringing the Nier raids, but these have actually brought up a lot of push back against more collabs in online spaces. Much as I like Nier and the glams and minions from these raids I found the raids to grow boring quickly and the story quickly and in hindsight would have preferred an alliance raid series that dug further into Norvrandt's lore, especially as we're probably not going to get much of a focus on that going forward.
Ultimately, it seems the devs have taken note of players wanting fewer collabs and more FFXIV lore-based content as in an interview with Frosty Mogborn earlier this year Yoshi-P said they are not currently moving forward on any collabs and when revealing the 6.x raid series they made a big thing about it being XIV original content.
but its a good place to make new devs get the job and be over time to the lvl. as all a collab need is some nice glams and a simple quest like the one in DQ event. taken note of players wanting fewer collab, where the note was taken from? was there an in game vote? or some haters was just the more vocal ones?Regarding your suggestion of an extra team to handle collabs, they can't just pull developers out of thin. The IP being collabbed with may want.. you know.. actually benefit from it. The bare minimum is a good way to ensure nobody even wants to collab with you.but its a good place to make new devs get the job and be over time to the lvl. as all a collab need is some nice glams and a simple quest like the one in DQ event. taken note of players wanting fewer collab, where the note was taken from? was there an in game vote? or some haters was just the more vocal ones?

Look, I get your obsession with wanting new glams from some other games is clouding your judgement a little bit but think about what you wrote there for a moment. First of all, all that Unholychinchilla wrote is information taken from various interviews, live letters, etc. It's not made up and the information online is easily accessible for yourself. There's more to just hiring a team to make collab content. It's not about "haters" being more vocal. It's simply the way things are and it's not just for the FFXIV team. Look at Smash Bros. Took six years for Sakurai to finally get Sora in the game and one can only imagine the legal hell he had to go through to make it happen.
Btw, you haven't mentioned which collab you wanted, just that the game should have many.
Healing DRK is literally... the same since ShB. The reason why people think it's a meme to heal nowadays because DRK receives very little to no buff to their sustainability vs 3 other tanks getting something useful. If you're capable of healing DRK back in ShB (or any tanks), then you'll heal EW DRK just fine.
