must be one of the very few having this , looks more like a graphic card/driver problem as a corrupt file problem , usely the game wont even start when files are corrupted.
Never had a single corrupt file here nor did i had any graphic problems on my card.


**********There are quite a few graphical problems with the game, I have seen black polygons on the floor, that flash, disapear and reapear, etc some really messed up things there the textures of the environment just look wierd, lemme see if I got a SS of the latter, its hard to explain lol. ************8

This polygon problem and other artifacts are caused by overheated cards usely wich makes me think that the inviseble legs etc is because of the same problem.
I am pretty sure this problem is not the game itself .
those glitches are not caused by corrupt files , either the graph driver has a problem(wich i doubt but is possible) or you card cannot handle the stress or gets too hot .. most likely too hot.

Artifact are always the 1st sign your card is going to fail. check your temps.. if u keep playing with that ,soon you wont have a card anymore .

have you tried to play it in windowed / fullscreen . does it make a difference?
lower resolution ? lower graph quality ?

Filecheck has been asked for since beta. The topic has been popping up just to die off pretty quick without any visible reaction from the devs. That could either mean they already included it into the 2.0 client, or don't think it's necessary. Take your pick.

@wolfspirit: from what I saw so far, it's more often a corruption issue than anything else. People who had been playing fine pre-patch suddenly end up having random graphic glitches. When re-installing the game helps, then it can't see how it can be a driver issue :x

No, since the patcher is based on torrents, it's virtually impossible to download a corrupted archive. Possible reasons are unstable RAM/CPU clocks, or a failing HDD, with the clocks being the more likely reason. I had one of my RAM sticks not handling the timings set by the manufacturer which resulted in random corrupted copy operations once.

That would be the missing floor thing I was talking about except when it hit me an entire zone was without ground until I reinstalled.

Like I said its not common that I get this, since like 1.18 I have had almost no issues with corrupted files until the recent update which caused these graphical glitches. Before then it was around Nov/Dec 2010 when I got the gamebreaking corruption that made doing anything at the forementioned places impossible.

May I ask what OS, and what file system you are using? I have never heard of this problem since beta

Agree, 2.0 client needs to be much better, its needs to be flash based and not IE based, add a file checker and have the log in screen at the title screen and not the actual client itself.

I had a few occasions back in beta where this happened and had to reinstall the game completely, if it happened now I would be extremely annoyed.

I have had the graphics problem for awhile, entire year (atleast) I have had the laptop, it could be a heat problem because the laptop does run hot, and I am probably killing my discreet card, bu meh its switchable I'm sure I won't do too much damage to the integrated GPU, so I'll still beable to use it, just not play this

I think someone is thinking of flashing ads and other animations, but really it would just be how its programmed, currently the launcher requires IE to work, its dependant on IE settings and things.

If you remove IE, or try to install via wine in linux or OSX you also need to install IE just for the game to launch, using flash would remove the need for other software (paticularly all the back doors in IE, IE fails and its time is over)
