I think someone is thinking of flashing ads and other animations, but really it would just be how its programmed, currently the launcher requires IE to work, its dependant on IE settings and things.

If you remove IE, or try to install via wine in linux or OSX you also need to install IE just for the game to launch, using flash would remove the need for other software (paticularly all the back doors in IE, IE fails and its time is over)

IE9 is quite good, not that i use it. but this game wasn't designed to run on linux and you know that going in you will have to take extra steps for it to run.. I personally don't want the game to require flash which is dying as is. its bloated and its crap. Adobe decides to update and bam the launcher could be broken. Keep it browser based.. OR make the login in c and not bother with either

Yea they will be user made addons, won't be forced upon you but the fact they are considering Flash for addons at all sounds to me like they have no idea.

must be one of the very few having this , looks more like a graphic card/driver problem as a corrupt file problem , usely the game wont even start when files are corrupted.
Never had a single corrupt file here nor did i had any graphic problems on my card.


**********There are quite a few graphical problems with the game, I have seen black polygons on the floor, that flash, disapear and reapear, etc some really messed up things there the textures of the environment just look wierd, lemme see if I got a SS of the latter, its hard to explain lol. ************8

This polygon problem and other artifacts are caused by overheated cards usely wich makes me think that the inviseble legs etc is because of the same problem.
I am pretty sure this problem is not the game itself .
those glitches are not caused by corrupt files , either the graph driver has a problem(wich i doubt but is possible) or you card cannot handle the stress or gets too hot .. most likely too hot.

Artifact are always the 1st sign your card is going to fail. check your temps.. if u keep playing with that ,soon you wont have a card anymore .

have you tried to play it in windowed / fullscreen . does it make a difference?
lower resolution ? lower graph quality ?

Filecheck has been asked for since beta. The topic has been popping up just to die off pretty quick without any visible reaction from the devs. That could either mean they already included it into the 2.0 client, or don't think it's necessary. Take your pick.

@wolfspirit: from what I saw so far, it's more often a corruption issue than anything else. People who had been playing fine pre-patch suddenly end up having random graphic glitches. When re-installing the game helps, then it can't see how it can be a driver issue :x
