All PLD slow burn on Ifrit!

Before I continue the post: We didn't win.

This fight was FUN. 8 Paladins in the Bowl of Embers (Hard). We consistently get him to 50%.

We had a lot of people who were new to the fight, so I'd be interested to see what a group of 8 pros could do.

One Paladin tanked while the rest stood at the rear and sides. Everyone was responsible for cures and we kept Goring Blade, Flash and Defense Down on him most of the time. Everyone was covering for some MP regen. We didn't get past Hellfire, so I can't say for certain how MP management would affect the fight. At 50%, everyone was still good on MP (about 75% thanks to Cover Refresh) but as I said, once eruptions started taking people out, it was kind of moot.

Divine Regen was truly amazing for the fight. It pretty much nullified Sear. Once we got to multiple cracks, the new guys started dying off, so things started going south fast and people were still getting hit by dashes.

Some people were smart and popped sentinel instead of fleeing from cracks. The damage is negligible in this case and Holy Succor on the main PLD usually brought you out of it with only minor scratches.

All in all, it was wicked fun and I would encourage any group of skilled players to give it a shot at least once for fun.
