Just finished Neo: TWEWY, and I know plenty are bound to hate this, but I would love for there to be a crossover/dungeon with this, especially for the glamours in the game. It doesn't even have to be all the designs in it, and just kept to the outfits that some of the main cast wore. Personally at least 1 outfit per job. Being a game within SE there should be little legal tape getting in the way, I assume, though I can understand that there would be detractors from this that would absolutely hate the inclusion of more modern day clothing making its way into the game. Regardless, I need Minamimoto's attire and would love to see Shoka's hoodie in game.
Not entirely sure on how they would spin that into a dungeon. Guess if they ever want to get really crazy with it, it could involve some alternate universe travel or worm hole, and we're put into a dungeon that's more or less the streets of Shibuya, under attack. The music from the game being drops would be amazing too, but that may be more restricting, though there's only about 3 or 5 that would be on my list. Transformation (Neo) really grew on me during my struggle against the secret Minamimoto fight. Speaking of which maybe that boss fight and the Phoenix Noise could be EX fights, though I would be satisfied with either a dungeon or EX. If I could be selfish a fight designed a bit like Thordan but against the Reapers would be amazing but a huge time investment, which I wouldn't want to burden the developers with, given how busy they are as is.
Tldr; I wouldn't mind a crossover taking the form of a dungeon!

you are amazingly on point.I get it, you want to make sure that the story isn't hurt by all the different crossovers, it wouldn't make sense canon-wise... but you could always make it as 'non-canon" and be done with it.
Imagine a dungeon for famous Square Enix franchises: Mana, Dragon Quest etc.
Kind of like different Disney worlds in Kingdom Hearts series.
This would be fun and better than just a random dungeon full of frogs
I am playing Heroes of the Storm (by Blizzard) and I like how much homage the game pays to all the Blizzard games.
IF ONLY, FFxiv did something like a Nier cross over, or maybe even something with Monster Hunter, or maybe even something with fates and events involving any of their other games....
its a good thing you have noticed these omissions on their part!
oh... wait a minute....

might just be me, but you may want to get further in the game before assuming things arent there.
you are showing as at Stormblood, so you have that and Shadowbringers to go, there are definitely cross over things there....
Because they may not want to..?yeah but I mean if Blizzard did it, why can't Square Enix? o_O
they do collaborations for mobile games ALL the time. Then there's Dissidia Final Fantasy games, the card games with all the artwork
I'm still waiting on an online card game by SE but it looks like Voice of Cards is there to fill up that spot
Oh right, inb4closedtopic.
As interesting as that sounds, I personally think having a dungeon based on a crossover would have issues, such as what if they lose the rights of whatever property they're doing a crossover with and they being forced to close the dungeon down due to it. Plus, you're asking them to put waaay more resources towards something that comes and goes, I'd rather see them go to content that's constant and guaranteed to stay.
Also, inb4 Closed Topic.

In before... "solved"!
Mortal Fist
eh, whatever
I'm in it for the world, story and it's lore. Whilst there's some cool stuff from crossovers, but there's so many threads in this world to explore and expand upon I am in favour of fewer crossovers and digging deeper into this game's universe. Most of them are just marketing gimmicks. Personally I'd just prefer crossover stuff to stay as seasonal events.
I think Ivalice is the one that's been closest to fitting well in the world setting, they tried with Nier but it still was like a theme park and didn't have the hook of an actual Nier game. We know what raids we're getting 6.0 and I am happy none of them are crossovers. I'd rather have seen Yoko Taro's contribution be something Nier unrelated and him just have the world's lore to play with and write with and not try to fit Nier into the game. But I get others were a fan, so I don't begrudge it.
However, I don't mind references, Crystal Tower is a huge reference to FFIII whilst not feeling like an FFIII crossover. That's the kind of fan service I prefer, its melds much better with the world and setting and feels less like a theme park, which they do in many areas of the game.
Given our number of dungeons per patch has decreased over the years I think they are unlikely to make a crossover dungeon but make them integral to the game's main plot and I hope they don't do a crossover dungeon either.

I am honestly on the completely opposite field, I prefer when games stay grounded in their own universe. Don't get me wrong, a few crossovers are more than fine, I actually enjoy them, like with Nier or FFT, but at the end of the day, the more Eorzea/Hydaelyn's universe content out there, the better.
