Soundtrack minions and other impossible to get collectibles

I have collected 405 minions. The only minion outside of the 2 Feast minions I do not have is the Spoony Bard minion that came with the Heavensward soundtrack. I somehow missed this when it first released. The codes that came with them expired a long time ago. The soundtrack recently showed up again on the SE Store, and I picked one up in the small off chance it would still work. Alas, it didn't even come with a code at all!

Why do you do this SE? Why why WHY

Please reconsider re-releasing these items in some fashion.

I get that they want the codes to be exclusive to the swag as an extra selling point, but putting an expiration date on the code just seems like a dick move.

It would be nice if there was a bit of a formula to it. Like 1 year exclusive (or until out of stock then + 1 year), then it goes to the mogshop if there is no demand to reprint within a few months or something vaguely around that.

I've bought a lot of merchandise over the years solely for the codes, though I have no problem with them being made available again periodically. There's always new players entering the game and I don't think it's fair for those individuals to miss out on a load of items simply because they joined the game late. Collecting mounts, minions and the like is always a big thing in pretty much any MMO after all.

I didn't even know that the game even had merchandise in the early days of ARR, so I missed out on some of the early stuff myself.

The only codes that don't work anymore are the ones from 1.x stuff (Before Meteor Soundtrack) and the ones for like Garlond Goggles, Hermes Shoes and things like that I think. All the other codes still work. You'd just have to find a "first-run" copy that would still have a code attached and that wasn't used.

Would be great to get a lot of stuff thats no longer around like the Ultima emote.
Mog shop i think would be the best way as then it doesn't diminish the value past people had buying it with a CD or merchandise.

As said before, there are always new people joining the game who missed out, as well as people who live in countries many of the merchandise wouldn't even ship too (New Zealand for example)

the Ultima emote still exists you just have to find a place that still has the statue available for purchase. There have been multiple runs of the Shiva statue, and I'm pretty sure the Ultima statue has had 2 runs at this point.

Proxy services exist to fill this gap. Also CD Japan carries many things also sold by Square Enix (and can also proxy buy from other storefronts in Japan) and does ship to New Zealand, if you haven't heard of them before you should check them out.
