It also gets tongue in cheek when you talk to Lyse before the fight. She asks you if any of your friends are on a far east fishing trip.

Why wouldn't they be, at least three of them came over on the same boat (Sirensong sea.)

In all seriousness though, most of the time the game doesn't mention friends either way, some of the time it mentions bringing people along, and once it outright says you face a primal solo.
You'd think if soloing everything was canon rather than personal interpretation the game would outright say it a tad more often than it does.

I tend to think that you winning the fight is canon (obviously,) but the specifics of how you won the fight are not.

This is quite funny as it actually makes Cirina seems much stronger than Warrior of Light since, by all indications, she completed Bardam's Mettle solo, while WoL gotta cheat to do it, lol.
