It's really a shame since I actually got interested in it after the Bozja stuff was done.

I went back to WoW because Bozja. I could never get into groups for the big bosses, and the minor ones just took far too long to kill. I don't recall what it's story was.

That was revealed in the 24-man raid. A lot changed from Tactics and 12 including the order of events between the two games and also making Basch Noah's father instead of his brother. This is based on those games like the Crystal Tower also used characters from FFIII, but retold their stories in a different way and made them from the Allagan Empire.I just don’t understand how princess Ashe & Rasler were married in XII but in the field notes they’re brother and sister.. did SE intend to make it a royal incest thing?
Other than that, I liked the Bozja storyline and I adore Castrum & DalI find them so entertaining

To be clear: it was revealed in the Ivalice quest line that Ashe and Rasler were siblings, not any other kind of relationship.

WTF does "failed storyline" mean?
I can't begin to address your question until I understand what you're asking.
Can you elaborate please?

It's not the ending most people would have expected, but it shows the empire is just as evil as ever, even with the changes at the top.
Lyon leaves, and those in charge point the blame and kill everybody on hand to teach a lesson.

Bozja in it's entirety was a let down.
The story started good but it got progressively worse and then just ended and left too much to the notes. It feels like they started strong and then had no idea where to go with the story or didn't have the time to finish it properly so they just threw something together.
Let's also not forget that they made all these claims about the content itself, but it turned out to be just the standard run of the mill fate farm with a couple dungeons thrown in. Ppl complained about being able to get the drops outside in hw zone fates, but it really wasn't any different than what you were doing in Bozja, just with a more reliable drop rate.
Can really just add it to the list of things in this game that missed the mark.
We should be able to tell in 6.0, if the events of Bozja get referenced in the MSQ.
I imagine Bozja is the storyline most skipped over by the playerbase [a significant portion refusing to do Bozja at all, and the *vast* majority refusing to collect the full set of field notes] - so if there's not an in-game TL;DR released, I wouldn't expect anything more to come of it ever.

It is very hard to build on a side story in a meaningful way, exactly because it is optional.
If they want to do something significant with it in the plot that affects other branches of the story, they have to make it a prerequisite, and that seems unlikely given the time investment expected of it.
So long as it's non-mandatory, there won't be anything beyond some variable dialogue (where those who have done it will get a different comment on the current state of affairs) or something that makes sense whether you've done the story or not. It won't be a measure of how successful the content is, just their standard approach to side stories.

Now the question is... Will Pagaga or Llofii be the initial job trainer.Yoshida and Matsuno also had a conversation recently where it was basically said that Matsuno added Lyon to the story just because he wants Beastmaster in the game.
I would not be surprised to see Matsuno writing the Beastmaster questline, involving Lyon, when it eventually comes out.
But I think the team doesn't want to continue producing large scale content using the Ivalice plotline.
