I mean the third part of the story is told in notes, but it doesn't seem like it should have ended up like that.
The ending of this storyline feels really strange, has anyone in the dev. team addressed this?

Too early to tell in my opinion.
In my opinion we are giving way too much credit to the field notes.
I don't like that they did it, but I would be veeeery surprised if we don't get an echo flashback/solo instance to show those events later and get a direct follow-up to this.
But we probably won't know until we learn more about their plans for Ivalice, or even for Mikoto, in 6.X/7.X.
No idea. I personally think it was kind of a bad one but that could just be my taste : p I stopped being invested after like the third time my character had to drink the Big Idiot juice to make the plot progress

The story was not as well received in other parts of the world and they explained that with so much going on in the real world that they were all tired of telling war stories for the time being. If the story is to continue, it would take a different and less bleak theme. It's not that the relationship between Matsuno and the FFXIV team broke down, it's that they feel it's best to try to do something different.
IMO, yes. It started out very good, but got gradually less interesting. Having to extend the payoff to coincide with patch content really screws with a story.
Yoshida and Matsuno also had a conversation recently where it was basically said that Matsuno added Lyon to the story just because he wants Beastmaster in the game.
I would not be surprised to see Matsuno writing the Beastmaster questline, involving Lyon, when it eventually comes out.
But I think the team doesn't want to continue producing large scale content using the Ivalice plotline.
Bozja, more like a roegadyn bullying au ra
Although Lyon is my favourite guy![]()
I wasn't a real fan of Bozja story or otherwise. I got to like rank 20 but then I just couldn't do it anymore and all my jobs I capped in Trusts. ><
"Then what is magic for?" Prince Lir demanded wildly. "What use is wizardry if it cannot save a unicorn?"
Schmendrick did not turn his head. With a touch of sad mockery in his voice, he said, "That's what heroes are for."

I found the story to be pretty good actually and certainly miles above the one in Eureka. The issue with getting all the notes for filling in the back story is an issue though and pretty hard to do. Complete story for Eureka involved clearing BA as well so was hard to see it all if you didn't do that.

I just don’t understand how princess Ashe & Rasler were married in XII but in the field notes they’re brother and sister.. did SE intend to make it a royal incest thing?
Other than that, I liked the Bozja storyline and I adore Castrum & DalI find them so entertaining
