    4th ranged DPS - Chemist

Chemist has a chemistry crossbow. held both hands with auto-lacer. mean it can apply its arrows with debuffs/by holding potions in that applie these effects the crossbow is then held like a sniper.

Chemist is debuff class its utility effects how monsters/bosses preform in actual combat. the this class hits specially hard by assisting your allies to hit harder. or making boss deal less damage

chemist exile in drug making advanced version of alchemy. crossbow has a cocking mechanism like a shotgun. this form as coating mechianism for crossbow itself.. have remeber chemist wasn't healer in tactics its was ranged.

Chemists mechanics evolve around changing drug coated cross bolts on the fly. allowing 3 difference stances. each those stances they offer different forms of debuffing a polar opposite of dancer. by weakening there foes by using advanced drugs. and chemicals bringing them down to there level

It seems a lot more likely to me that Chemist would be a non-caster healer job than strictly a ranged DPS.

Considering the devs tried to create Chemist twice, once with AST, and again with SGE. And that Sage was almost named Chemist, I think it's safe to say Chemist will probably be a healer.

I like helping people with their Job ideas, it's fun to help them visuallize and create the job they'd like to play most. Plus I make my own too, I'll post them eventually.

Likewise... Especially in the light of Sage not being focused on party buffs or debuffs.

But then... They'll probably go around a long time without any new healers, but eventually they'll have to add more, and I wonder how it will interact with the new healer balance, unless it features a stance system like AST before EW.

If you haven't finished the post Shadowbringers main story, I'll just say that chemist was hinted at as a job, and it's identity already defined as a healer.

People thought Dancer was going to be a healer too and rolled with it. Chemist can be anything we want it to be, even a tank (though most likely a physical ranged/caster, as tanks and healers are now complete for the foreseeable future).

Please pass along the source on that.

But with regards to your post, if they tried to make a Chemist healer (apparently) twice and so thoroughly scratched it that they ended up with different Healer jobs each time, what makes you think it would still end up as a healer if they tried a third time...?
'Cuz it seems to me that at least part of the issue was trying to make it work as a healer. If they were set on trying to implement it at all, making it a support DPS instead seems like the surefire way to bypass whatever obstacles were there.

Plus they could get more mileage out of it IMO. We already have potions and ethers and antidotes for common status effects, we don't have any analog for some of the old damaging consumables like Arctic Winds and White Fangs.

I'd argue that it is possible that they had trouble getting it to work at all, rather than chemist just being so incompatible with the healer role, but you are correct that they could choose to make a Ranged DPS chemist instead.
