But no more than other healing jobs. WHM's identity has generally been sold as the "big" healer, but every other healer's heals are big enough to make it redundant. Which is why post ARR I think the argument was to give WHM more utility to help it better compete with SCH and AST in terms of usefulness.

If you're talking about a life saving situation then it's about how quickly you can get that heal off. And whilst WHM has Benediction it's a long recast and it doesn't always go off in time, hence the "I swear Benediction went off" meme. So I think you're probably more likely to use Tetragrammaton for that. However, AST's Essential Dignity is two charges and they can do up to 1,100 potency with 1 charge, SCH's Lustrate is a flat 600 potency and Tetragrammaton is a flat 700 potency. Lustrate has an advantage in that it can be used up to 6 times (if you're using Dissipation) and Lustrate can be spammed more quickly than Afflatus Solace because Afflatus Solace has a 2.5s recast and Lustrate is a 1s recast.

There's other tricks in your tool kit too to save people's lives.

I feel like WHM just needs something in addition to its identity as a strong pure healer. If SCH and SGE end up relying on their shields more then this will help because then AST and WHM can better flex their pure healer advantages but given AST and WHM will share the pure healing identities. WHM just needs something additional. I feel the same for SCH too now that it has lost parts of its identity and SGE has inherited the part of its identity it still has.

So anyway, imma only use Aquaveil with Regen unless the tank is big pulling and undergeared.
