I'd personally prefer if it was shifted into a whole separate 'Disciple of ... ' category, ready made for dropping new unique customizable jobs into.

I personally like Disciple of Discovery, with Blue Mage discovering new monster magic, Beastmaster discovering new tameable monsters, and Puppetmaster discovering archeotech and engineering solutions.
