    GNB - Continuation modification concept

    Hey peepz!

    I heard some criticisms about Continuation, specifically the forced immediate use of this OGCD being clunky for a tank who needs to weave their cooldowns as well.

    I tried to come up with a concept that could potentially mend this issue to a degree in so far it even is a problem that needs addressing in the first place.

    I'm interested: what do you think about it? Is it dumb? Conceptually misguided? Change too much, too little? Does it have potential?




    I'm excited for Endwalker and don't want to write anything on the wall here. It's just a bit of a fun design exercise if you will.

    Hey Aluja, thanks for the feedback!

    In what way do you mean specifically?

    What I intended to do here is to allow for things you currently can't do:

    Double weave parts of the Continuation combo

    Execute up to two Burst Strikes without losing previous Continuation triggers.

    That way it is more lenient and you have more wiggle room to weave other ogcds you might need, especially for defensive purposes.

    Currently you have to always weave Continuation right after your gcds specifically inside the No Mercy window, which one could also say feels automated (cause you have no choice in which button to press).

    Maybe you feel this concept is actually *too* lenient towards the player and thus could feel like it automates the process to the degree you don't have to accommodate enough anymore?

    Too much of Gunbreaker feels automated. They need to throw some monkey wrenches in there like Double-Down being 45s cooldown. :^)

    Not a bad concept to be fair. Although I'd maybe change it to just Hypervelocity, like you could store charges for it and if you had nothing else wanting to use continuation it would spend a Hypervelocity charge.
