Can we add mount glow to battle effects?

Can we please have mount glow added to battle effects that are not displayed by non-party or others besides yourself?

This effect is really common in Eureka and PvP, and it's very hard on the eyes. So, as not to ruin their fun or mine - they can choose to have effects on and I can leave mine off. Anyone can have their mount glowing for just themselves, and other people can meme if they want to. No harm done.

I'm not sure how difficult this would be to implement it, but I would be very excited if it was.

I'm not sure exactly what is causing that effect in your screen shot. Is it a mount or some random attack?

    I think that's a bit too much.

I've never seen that before. You could try adjusting your graphics settings.

There's 20 people on the fire bird sitting on top of each other. I realize none of you are on Primal. They don't do this in Eureka or PvP for y'all?

Yeah the thing is a real headache to look at, would be nice to be able to turn glow effects off from other players definitely agree with you.

Not trying to disparage anyone here, but perhaps folks that are physically bothered by a bright spot on their monitors should play with more light in the room. Or, less light. Or, whatever makes them comfortable. The idea of a "bright spot" on your monitor via some graphics is a fallacy. If you open a browser to a blank page (solid white), that's as bright as your monitor can get.

That blank white screen should not hurt your eyes... and that is the same brightness you're seeing anywhere in FF; solid white is full brightness. It cannot get brighter than that - perceived intense brightness is due to graphical halo/glow effects and misdirection. In other words, that super bright spot that distracts you or hurts your eyes or gives you headaches is no brighter than the aforementioned plain white screen, which we've already determined doesn't (or shouldn't, after adjustment) hurt your eyes due to being too bright.

You may want to look into turning your brightness down, decreasing contrast, etc. I mean this to actually help those who might be getting physical discomfort from the glow.

If, on the other hand, this is just about not liking the way it looks, then I've misunderstood.

f.lux is a great option for those sensitive to blue light or bright lights. Has multiple settings, easy to install and can set it to your sleep schedule.
