Hairstyle contest for Viera & Hrothgar this time?

I think it would be neat to get the community involved once again, and now since there are more players- and hopefully more artists among them that would do some really nice hairstyles for these two races that need some love.

The old hairstyle contest was lackluster no doubt, but that doesn't mean a new one would be the same, especially with more people now!

I have abunch of ideas too if there's another contest- let's hope if there is one, hairstyles with real variety are chosen & not ones that look almost the same- then drip-fed to us >:/

Problem with these contests is that people will vote based on art style the majority of the time. The devs can look at chicken scratches and envision the final product, but your average user is not going to see the concept behind the scribbles. I'd actually wish that any contest in the future was user submitted, but didn't have user voting.

Let the people in charge have their pick of what they think is the best.

THAT BEING SAID, more Viera hair with those cute metal bonnets wouldn't go amiss. Knock-off Fran is.. nice but there are sooo many others.

AGREED. I would love Mjrn’s cute Bob haircut from XII with the metal helmet.

Or something like this but not as long because it’d be too much effort with clipping and such.

I think an easy solution would be that participants use a mandatory* 'bald' template to draw over. There would still be differences in art skills involved, but at least one could see how it'd look over an actual ingame model, rather than a romanticized version

*to my understanding, it was only optional last time?
