Why do people always use the first timer card in this kind of topics? Can’t they come up with better excuses?

There’s not even anything about first timer mentioned in OP. Guess we’re shifting goalpost again.

I’ll repeat from what I’ve said similarly in the past. Get a friend group of similar minds to play with. In DF, majority will always win, for better or worse. Yes, even if that situation is a 3 players wanting a slow run to kick 1 player that wants a fast run. They have the power: vote dismiss count. Whoever gets voted out doesn't get a say. HOWEVER, if people are being nasty in-game (as in foul language) then you can always report them & move on.

Unless you’re happened to be matched with people who enjoy slow smaller pulls, you won’t get what you want in DFs.

That's strange, I don't think anyone has ever forced me to do anything in this game and the majority of people I've encountered in game have been very friendly.

Not sure what Data Center you play on, but on mine, no matter the level of the dungeon, everyone has spoken and "Hi". And if we wipe on a boss then we talk it out and explain the fight.

I have only been playing this game for 6 and a half months and it has been the best experience(s) ever. Like I have really really enjoyed my time in Eorzea. These experiences you speak of is something I have not seen in FFXIV. Perhaps you are thinking of WoW. That type of rudeness exists in Copious amounts over there.

Frankly, I cant tell if this anti-rush mentality is legitimate or just trolling anymore because the argument has turned into such a caricature of itself that it doesnt sound like real people in real scenarios. To me, usually I dont have a problem with going slow unless its a sprout tank or sprout healer. I'd rather they be comfortable with their job than being poke with a stick on to keep up with a veteran. That would also transition to new roles for veteran players (first time tank/healers). Outside of that, you better be pulling -- as you have no excuse.

Tip 2: There is a large overlap of people who played WoW that also play FF14

Tip 3: Bring up WoW in Novice Network and watch people explode

The better question to this almost daily/weekly thread is:

"Why can't you people just talk like adults at the start of the dungeon to see what everyone is comfortable doing, then just do that?"

That is what I like to do.problem most of the time before I can say hi the healer already pulled the first mobs. People just in general don't care for others what so ever .

I don’t think we are playing the same game. It could be a server difference, but the problems you are having so regularly I’ve not once encountered in my time of this game. I have at times had players ask if we could go fast or slow, but never anything that turned into anything even remotely uncomfortable and impolite.

You can wall to wall pull all you want. You can have agro on 8 man and 24 man bosses all you want. You can sprint and be leet and jump and twirl and dance and sing. It doesn't mean you understand what fundamentally makes a good tank. The reason tanks are so boring is so they can also focus on all the important skills (not in your menu) that make a tank good. As a tank it's a decision you need to make for the party or multiple decisions. Is your dps decent enough to down wall to wall without you running out of mitigation and are your mit timers going to line up for the next pull? Is your healer healing or standing there dpsing letting everyone's hp fall to nothing while complaining on the forums about how healers need more dps buttons? Are you able to position mobs properly that you're not handicapping certain classes you're running with IE SAM and DRG have frontal cones and they cannot perform well if you position mobs like an idiot. The list goes on and on. If you know your group is garbage af and they run ahead pulling more just leave and queue later. This is partly what made me quit tanking for good.

Someone doesn't understand how a MMO works

I do I just don't get why people in ff14 do so much of what they hate in place of not and let the devs know it. That was the story of eureka in the day. Big part hated it but did it any way as they want what it give. In ace of just not doing it and the the devs stop it.
