    Glamour system rework

    The glamour system is a not as good as it can be right now, for any player that enjoys this part of the game there are glaring and undeniable issues, bringing a lot frustration to the game, with this post I wanted to express some of the things I would like the see it change and offer some ideas on how it could. Keep in mind that English isn't my primary language so I'm sorry for any typos or grammatical problems.

    -A lot more items should be storable in the Armoire.
    The armoire is a feature that is really under utilized and should be provably reworked, this alone would alleviate a lot of the storage issues we currently got. I got a lot of pieces that I PAYED real money and that I literally don't have space on my glamour chest to store them anymore, same issue with other pieces of gear.
    Those are the kinds of things that should go in the armoire:

    -Mogstations items.
    -Ultimate weapons.
    -Achievements weapons and armor.
    -F.A.T.E Rewards.
    -Artifacts weapons and armor.

    The only reason I can think of for not having those storable is "server load" which honestly, doesn't make that much sense, since all those are somewhat rare thus wouldn't add a lot to the server and we have a lot of extremely easy to obtain and frankly underwhelming, one clear example of this is the "Ribbon", I can't think of any reason why it isn't a regular item, why does it get a special place on the armoire? Artifacts weapons are another big offender, it's a weapon that requires a lot of time to finish, why can't we store it on the armoire or even the glamour chest?

    -Armoire should be account wide.
    With the previously said changes this would make a world of difference for people with more alts, even with the standard account you have access to at least 5 character per account, that adds a lot of extra info and server load that could be literally be ignored if the armoire was account wide, same with the mogstation items, you've payed for something and it should be available for all your characters on that account.

    -Replicas or remove the role restriction on accessories.
    Most of the older gear already have this, like the ARR and HW accessories are all "All classes", which opens a lot of slots for glamours, one of the recent examples I can think of is the Immaculate set, I need 2 versions of the same earring, one for tank and the other for healers, one easy solution is to simply remove the role restriction after they aren't current content anymore or add a "replica" version that you can either craft or exchange with tokens.

    -Dye storage UI implemented with the glamour chest UI.
    One of the most annoying stuff related to make a new glamour is test colors on it, you play around with your glamour plates and find that perfect combination of colors only to discard it minutes later to get the dyes on my retainers, it's a needlessly bureaucratic system that could be solved in either 2 ways, consume the dyes directly from your retainers/saddleback or remove some of the "key items & crystals" slots to add a "Dye bag" to the glamour chest UI.

    -More glamour plates.
    There should be a way to get more plates, there isn't even 1 per job currently, one easy fix would be to add those client side, make a file that contains all the info for the new plates, make it encrypted or something.

    Those are my main complains and ideas on how to fix the current glamour system.

    I do agree with almost everything you've said here but for the last point there is a story about why they did do that.
    Thing is, when SB came out few years ago and they reworked the whole tank stats with tenacity ( which is still trash to this day smh ) they changed accessories so tanks would be forced to use this stats the same as removing strenghts from tank accessories.
    Believing everyone will be happy with this change and to make sure tanks do not take DPS accessories to have increased damage they locked it per jobs.
    In the end it was a clownfiesta where it was better for tanks to use HW 60 DPS accessories to use 70 tanks one that were terrible.
    Since then they changed it back but it's still locked per jobs to make sure some class would benefit from other's jobs acc.
    It's far from perfect, but it's their solution RN.

    Why stop at accessories? I'll be cheeky and mention it here again that, while they're at it they should copy the FFXI feature that lets you "Glamour" any gear with any Job, as long as have the required Job leveled enough to wear it!

    Actually, I'm on board with this. I mentioned my want of more accessory options post 60 content recently, and the level 1 statless replica version hadn't occurred to me then.

    the problem with taking things like dyes from your retainers is... as has been mention many times for different things, the retainers dont actually exist until you call them

    which is why you get the message that number of items may not be accurate.

    I've had additional thoughts for Replica Accessories, since it is possibly the least elegant solution since it requires adding more items...

    BUT... perhaps to make implementation more "multi-faceted"

    1) instead of making them crafted, make them untradeable/unmarketable purchases from an NPC
    2) which NPC? Well how about Kasumi in the Gold saucer since she's already a "fashion-centric" npc
    3) which allows them to make unlocking access to an expanding pool of accessories a mini-game in itself tied to accumulated Fashion Report score
    4) and finally, also makes purchasing the Replicas into an additional Gil sink

    adding replicas of every item in the game wouldnt be the best idea datawise, theres probably a reason theyre not making anymore belts from ew on.
    another idea would be adjusting glamour casting to ignore level and job once certain objectives are completed.
    for example, have you gotten samurai to levelcap? congrats, if you donate 5mil to kasumi she teaches you how to glamour striking armor onto your other jobs up to levelcap for that expansion.
    incentive to level every role and a gil sink. Of course you can't equip the armor properly, but magic glamours are fair game arent they?

    With a new story arc coming after endwalker, and the massive influx of players, i really hope the dev team gets that much needed engine update out with square's help, so we can have the things we've been asking for, for years but limited by spaghetti 2.0 code

    Yoshida said that changes are coming to the Glam system in 6.1/6.2 and said that it will start with more slots (not sure if plates slots, or if slots in the glam dresser).
    And I still hope the glam log is one of these changes, considering he said recently that they would like to do it but that they are limited by the volume of data. And since we are getting server upgrades....mayyybeee...
