It's totally up to you when it comes to how many jobs you level up, and it's understandable that you would want to focus on the one (or few) that you enjoy playing.

There are advantages to having multiple jobs, however. For one, being able to perform multiple roles will give you more options down the line when you're looking to do group content. Maybe the group only has room for a tank or a healer, which leaves you out if you can only play a DPS role.

Also, if the queue times are too long for a specific role when working on content you're frequently repeating, being able to switch to a more needed role and getting through the queue quickly can be a benefit (or offer a change of pace to keep things interesting).

Most importantly though, I think, is that becoming familiar with other roles can make you better at your preferred role. For example, as a tank you may be aware that you should be minimizing movement because DPS has to worry about positionals, but once you've been on the receiving end of bad tanking you really start to take something like that to heart. Another example.. after playing a healer and having to put in extra work for party members who frequently planted themselves out of my AOE healing range, you can bet camping out in no-man's land was something I immediately stopped doing when playing a ranged DPS role. You'll also become more familiar with what other jobs can do, because you've played them yourself, and that helps you be more realistic in what you can expect out of your party members.

Finally, if you enjoy stories, some of the class quests are surprisingly decent, and I'm glad I didn't miss them. But that's really hit and miss. Like, I would be sad if someone only played Warrior and assumed all class quests were that bad.

    It's really bad.
