There are pros and cons to whichever decision you make. In the long run though, this game is all about making whatever choice is fun for you.

If you play one job exclusively, you will probably learn that job very well. If that is what you find fun, then go for it! One advantage to this is that you are less likely to run into armory chest problems. Mine tends to fill up with all the gear from various level jobs and gathering and crafting gear.

I've always wanted to play a variety of jobs/classes. The good part of that is that I have leveled all 3 healer classes (80, 78, and 74 at the moment) so I have shorter queues for some things. The bad part is that I don't know each one as well as I would like. Over time I will learn them adequately I think for the level I want to play at.

I like casters so I'm working on the physical and magical ranged DPS classes starting with bard and summoner for those. Tank and Melee DPS will be my last ones. The advantage of leveling those is that I'm learning about each of those classes, what they can bring to a group, and what their limitations are. Plus, I'm finding out which jobs are more fun for me to play. One of the things I do is use my healers for some of the duty roulette. I tend to play my dps jobs for MSQ, when playing with family or trusted friends, or when the duty roulette is favoring dps.
