    Astrologian Job Gear

This is a small observation on my end, therefore I felt the need to ask.

Is it me, or each expansion Astrologian job gear design gets worse? To this day I find the Heavensward gear to be the most beautiful of them all. I understand that it would be kind of hard to top it, but still.

Funny enough, I feel that the gear is getting the same treatment as the job itself, taking away more and more from it.

All Job gear have the problem of being restricted to rehashing the exact same identity, because that's what Job gear is for, showing off that specific job, so the design is always going to be very similar.

AST is going for the mystical fortune teller identity, and there's only so far you can go with that.
I wish they would lean a little more into the Time Mage aesthetic personally, which HW's gear held on to with the pointy hat at least.
This goes hand in hand with AST keeping time effects too though, for example, why does SCH get the movement speed buff instead of AST?!

Whatever happened to AST's pointy hat aesthetic. Maybe to similar to BLM's? Eh, Hrothgars wouldn't be able to wear them anyway.

AST has enough utility and a "marching speed" ability does seem fitting for a miltary tactitian. Not to say AST couldn't use a movement speed ability too but eh, at least it makes SCH stand out in front of the new Sage.

Honestly the job gear for shb was just poor in general imo. We still don't have dyable job weapons either.

On the topic of mobility, personally all healers should have some but different

Whm- lost seraph strike fits so well. Gcd or ogcd it matters little, its perfect.
Sch- I'm probably gonna catch flack for this but the movement speed buff is a decent enough fit. However it should not be a bloody capstone, that's just insulting
Ast- I would suggest a two stage mobility tool like e12s' return debuff. You warp forward using space magic then rewind yourself to the old position with time magic. The old pos will only be available for a certain amount of time so you can just use it to dash
Sge- rocket wings for nouliths. Fits the gundam aesthetic

Why doesn't AST have a teleport?!

Idk, the HW gear had kind of a more...witchy theme going on, and SB one was also good, with a bit more of a gypsy vibe added to the mix. The ShB one was alright but felt like a watered down version of the SB one, and the EW one is an even more watered down version - that's not to say they're necessarily bad, but it felt less about keeping the theme and more about recycling the same outfit. [Personally, I could say the same for the MCH gear - to me, it looks exactly like the ShB gear, just with a bigger ascot.]

so apparently the only option that doesn't "stress the newbies" is either pressing 1211111111, or do nothing at all.
