I cleared out my room and it says I need to remove furnishings. I play on ps4 and the menus are an absolute disaster to navigate. I'm extremely pissed off and don't understand wtf to do. There is nothing in the room yet it tells me I still have furnishings.

You might have items in storage. Button looks like a little cart on the list of items in the room.

Could also be your floor, walls or light if you changed any of those.

For future annoyances: I had a pot glitch out of the house. Not sure how exactly that happend, but I suppose it was when I moved a stage. That thing probably stuck to it mid moving - still not yet placed the stage - and got loose somehow outside.
I was looking for that tiny thing and checked the list, where it showed an arrow through the outer wall.
