To be fair, when I first saw the job's mascot, I was expecting them to have a spammable line-AoE like DRG's. Because why not? It's laser pew pew. Or at least frontal cone.Dyskrasia/Art of War
I know I said I wouldn’t cover duplicate GCDs, but this one irks me too much. Just… look:They could have made it an instant around target to complete the set, but no. This GCD isn’t even affected by eukrasia for an AoE dot. They must have already been on such a roll with the copy-paste bonanza that they went ahead and copied Art of War without even considering that they could make the skill somewhat unique. Ugh.
- WHM Holy: hard-cast around self.
- AST Gravity: hard-cast around target.
- SCH Art of War: instant around self.
- SGE Dyskrasia: instant around self (again?).
Oh well.
I've got to admit, I absolutely hate Art of War, so seeing that sage has a copy-paste of it is a big hit to my excitement for the job. A line or cone aoe would've indeed been much better [they technically do though, Phlegma III, but stiiiiiill...]
What the heck is this

Yeah I won't lie, a week ago when stuff leaked I was setting up hotkeys in advance. It didn't take me long to determine what my lustrate, excog, indom, sacred soil, etc buttons were for Sage. I am willing to giver it a try but I'm not expecting it to be a revelation of an experience. Shadowbringers already put me out of a main job so I became multipurpose. My willingness to play Sage stems more from "the grass isn't necessarily greener on the other side, I'm just hoping the grass isn't dead". Expectations kept low.
That and addersting feels very... oh what's the word for it. Only works for one button but is apparently just there for a movement mechanic?
Sage having a dash makes it best healer by default………… it’s cool to have and it’s easy mobility and with the endwalker cast time you can wave and lose no up time if you are to lazy to slide cast.
Healers are extremely similar to one another. News at 11.
Toxikon II is essentially a mini Afflatus Misery. You use a GCD to get an instant GCD that "refunds" DPS for movement.
Like Misery it is a DPS loss if used as a substitute for the basic nuke.

(Which I find it sad because I like the animation more and it looked like a good idea on the paper).
A slightly stronger potency would at least make it feel better.
