UI not saving after the solutions I have tried

I thought I fixed this issue but it still keeps occurring. Whenever I play I occasionally get an error that says my ui settings aren't saving and when I make an alt character and copy the files from my main to them I get a completely different UI. My mains logs in the file hasn't been updated since 2020 as well so this has been happening for a while. I checked my firewall and my game isn't blacklisted or anything and I also always go to properties and uncheck read only but it goes right back to being checked when I exit out. what should I do do fix this? If it helps my character logs are on a different drive from where I actually have the game installed but idk if that helps.

Windows 10?
In Windows Search, type "Ransomware protection" and click the result.
Turn off "Controlled folder access"
or if you wish to still allow this security feature, then with the switch turned on, click "Allow an app through Controlled folder access"
Click "Add an allowed app" then navigate to your FF14 install location "boot" folder and select the "ffivlauncher64" file.
Repeat the process for:
ffxivboot
ffxivboot64
ffxivconfig
ffxivconfig64
ffxivlauncher
ffxivupdater
ffxivupdater64

Then you should never have the UI Settings Save issue and other related "stuff getting saved by the game" issues again.
NOTE: This also generally fixes the Screen Shots Wont Save issue others have reported.

Can you submit a Final Fantasy XIV system report? Simply go to the 'Config' option on the Final Fantasy XIV launcher and to the right of 'System Information' click on 'Display.' Also, were any updates or changes made to the PC?
