It is funny to see people who have never done any kind of coding think that the ping issues on animation can be solved with a press of a button .it is not that simple .
........you do know this *is* solved via a [redacted third party TOS violation]? The fix is that simple. Just don't reset animation lock when the client receives permission from the server. That's it.
Surely plugin devs which are agaisnt the ToS can do it but Square Enix cant, they're just a small indie company after all.
Same for Viera and Hrothgar hats, plugin devs can do it, but Square Enix cant, and yall still manage to find them excuses as to why they dont do it.
If a single dude alone can do it, I am pretty certain that SE can do it as well.
Because they don't need to sell a product, need to do QA, or make a complete product.Surely plugin devs which are agaisnt the ToS can do it but Square Enix cant, they're just a small indie company after all.

A modder can pick a tiny portion of of the complete whole and devote their entire time on polishing that tiny portion to a mirror shine. A developer has to build the entire thing, in a way that sells products. They need to justify the time they spend on their work to the company that pays them.
And developers also make their own tools that modders use to make that mirror shine in the first place. Devs are also held accountable for the bugs and errors in their work where modders are not.
It's effectively a simple switch.
One side reads: "Purposely increase the uptime costs of players living further from their DC hubs by unnecessarily including in any server confirmation message an order to reset the time until the player's internal cooldown completes / including in the game's client an ICD-restart order to be triggered by any server action confirmation/receipt."
The other reads: "Do not do that, and do not therefore sabotage the player experience for zero benefit."
Which the devs set to that first mode, and modders merely flip back off.

Bumping for visibility
In the wake of people struggling with the Fall Guys minigame and becoming more aware of the game's netcode issues, I hope this doesn't go ignored.
It's a pity that there hasn't really been any word on the animation lock issue (that I know of) since the support response.
They prolly just don’t care ‘cause why not? Current approach still make them enough money, enough to offset the cost of upsetting players who do care & aware about the netcode enough.
This hasn't been addressed yet so I hope that big streamers that go to the media tour can directly tell Yoshi-P about it again and in a clear way so that the message goes through. In theory, they already got the information thanks to Nekkowe but there's been no news at all about it. It would be great if we could get direct information about it.
