Request: FFXIII Crossover Rerun/Update

We're about to have our 3rd rerun of the DQX crossover since I've been playing this game.
Even the FFXI Anniversary event and FFXV crossover event have gotten reruns.

One of the events that hasn't gotten a rerun is the FFXIII crossover event...

Now, I understand the the primary reason this event hasn't been rerun is most likely because the rewards were added to the Mogstation long ago. I'm fairly certain that once event items have been sold for real world currency, they've never returned as free rewards in game.

So what if the either the rewards for the event, or the entire event, could be updated? There is still a bunch of content from FFXIII that could make for fun rewards in FFXIV.

Main Cast Outfits/Hairstyles
I feel like all the remaining main cast outfits have some unique flair to them that would make them stand out as glamour pieces. Hairstyles as well. Also think they're all immersion friendly too. Fang and Vanille remind me of the New World aesthetic already established in FFXIV.

An FF where everyone in the game got a unique "mount" and none of them have made an appearance in FFXIV yet? Granted... there are similar analogs to Odin, Shiva and Bahamut already available, but I do think Alexander, Brynhildr, and Hecatoncheir could be really fun and unique.

Orchestrion Rolls
The Orchestrion system didn't even exist in FFXIV at the time that the FFXIII crossover occurred. There are numerous tracks that would be fun to have access to if some of them were added to an updated rerun.

Oh so it did... all happened in a small window too. Unlike the massive gaps between the other reruns I mentioned.

DQX Either has a major content expansion coming as well or just recently had one. Which may be why this event is being rerun now.

I think the last rerun of the FFXI one was on a game anniversary.

I still feel like we should have a PSO2 crossover since we never got one over here during their collab years ago when PSO2 players got FFXIV themed rewards and could randomly find and battle Odin.

The PSO2 thing is weird... conspiracy/conjecture on my part, but I suspect the reason why there was never a PSO2 crossover is also tied up in whatever the reason is why PSO2 was never localized for PS4 in the West.

If they brought this back, I'd really hope that Crazy Chocobo from XIII-2 would be added as a music roll. It's my fave song from the FF13 trilogy.

But at the bare minimum I'd want them changing their BS 'one handed' glamours for Whm/Blm to 2 handed

The FFXIII event was nothing special to write home about, and was just a series of dull FATEs that Lightning helped fight (two of them were against enemies that are already in the game elsewhere to boot!), and a single cutscene at the end in Gridania, so for those who missed out, you're not actually missing out on much, and can now just buy the items anyway - besides, the event was technically meant to crossover with Lightning Returns which was being launched around the same time (and had a FFXIV miqo'te costume and Grand Company weapons for Lightning in that game). As that is long, long passed however (like, that was back in 2013) and as such, SE just added the items to the Mogstation, a pretty conclusive statement will not be coming back.

Also, even if the event did hypothetically return they would not update it with new items (especially to give weapons for new classes/Jobs), as SE has never actually done this (when the FFXIII event was repeated after ROG/NIN was added to the game, they did not add new weapons in the event for that class/Job, and even when the items were added to the Mogstation, there was no new weapons or items added, it was just the same rewards as the event offered). This is also why more recent crossover events do not feature weapons but just gear and other items like glamour costumes.

So I'm sorry to say, it is never coming back (and not surprising given it was the first crossover special event in the game, so it's long passed it's use by date).
