Please add a toggle to turn off the usage for event food-type furnishings..

Honestly if any intractable housing object simply had the toggle, it'd be not only consistent across the board but give players a lot of customisation as to what they want people to play with in their homes.
Hope SE gives us a nice housing function update sooner or later for all these good ideas.

Whoever passes suggestions onto the SE devs; I implore you...please pass this on to them. I decorated the house nicely for X-mas/Starlight Festival. I had out event related furnishings from previous years that would cost me 5$ on the store to replace (which is absolutely ridiculous for an item that can be ruined). I had an FC message asking people NOT to use the decorative items. Well.....somebody did...multiple times. My FC isn't very big but, I still have no way of knowing who did it. I'm going to assume it was a newer or returning player who didn't know any better. I had to put away the food that wasn't touched so that didn't get ruined as well. This is honestly really upsetting. If you're going to charge $5 for a furnishing, please make a toggle to turn it off so people cannot use it.

Definitely adding my voice to this - I'm a new player, and didn't know that this was how 'food furnishings' worked (I only have one item like this in my apartment, and never would have thought someone else could come in, take all the food, and the actual item will then disappear!).

It feels like a big oversight/mistake that these items work this way.

Psst...SE....people would probably be more inclined to pay $5 for food furnishing items on the FFXIV store if there was a toggle to keep them from getting ruined~
