    Can no longer launch the game (HTTPS System Error)

    Hi, I go to log onto the game and I get an error upon launching the client, which says;

    "A system error has occurred: -2146697211
    HTTPS System Error"

    I have never had this happen before.

    I have done the internet explorer method, didn't work.

    And I just now uninstalled and reinstalled it, but I still get the same error.

    I am using the standalone launcher, Windows 10, and a wired connection.

    UPDATE: I downloaded it on my brothers PC, who is wired on the same network as I am, and it loads just fine on his.

    UPDATE: I fixed the issue by resetting my Internet Explorer settings. My Internet Explorer wasn't getting a connection for some reason, but once I reset it, it did, and FFXIV began to boot again!

    Good morning and thank you for posting in the Final Fantasy XIV Technical Support Forums

    Could you try the following:

    -Make sure your fire wall or antivirus program is not interfering with the game

    - Check to see if the following port ranges are opened on your router. You can contact your ISP and request they open them for you:
    ▼TCP
    54992 through 54994,
    55006 through 55007,
    55021 through 55040

    -Try disabling background applications and do a clean boot by opening the task manager and selecting the “Start up” tab. Disable everything and then restart the PC.

    I have done that. It is not a network issue because it boots just fine on my brothers computer, who is connected to the same modem as I am.
