    Is the lobby server down?

    I keep trying to login, but after I press Start to go into the character selection screen, I get the black Now Loading screen for a while, then I get the following error:

    13001 The lobby server connection has encountered an error.
    Error Code: 0
    Status: 0
    TIMEOUT

    This happened to me last night as well. I'm headed off to work now, so maybe it'll be functional when I get back. I knew I should've factored in shoddy server stuff when I made my Garuda calculation...

    Oh geez, I hope I didn't lose all the items I threw onto the Armoire like many other people are claiming...

    Not sure, I'm on Gugnir and I;ve been trying to log on for about 20 minutes to no avail/

    I have been having the exact same problem since the patch... Actually, even if I log in it usual gives me some kind of connection error, then has issues logging me in again. Could mods please look into this?><

    Just an update on my particular situation, it seems that the two times I attempted to log in (yesterday night and this morning) both happened to be during emergency maintenances.

    I'm getting this same error on Balmung now. I was crafting, then went to do an item search, and as soon as the item search menu came up, I disconnected and now all I get is the 'lobby error' for the last 30 minutes.

    Anyone else having this issue?

    I wanted to bump this, see if anyone is still having trouble logging in since earlier this week. Since the update came on I am having trouble getting into the game. When I double click the game I get 11023 unable to access server for version check. Before I posted, I did look around on the other sites and look under notices just in case there was a server down for the 28th, I haven't seen nothing so if there' something there, then I missed it and am sorry.

    I've manually put the game in to my CA Security firewall so there's never really been a problem with that, still I tried without the anti-virus up and running and still the same code.

    I have deleted, cleaned registry and re installed the game because I figured that's my luck. Still..unable to contact the lobby to check to install the update. I'm on wireless but did direct connect just to be safe, still nothing.

    I am running Windows 7 64 Bit. So any help in how to get myself back up and running would be great.

    Your issue is completely different from the one I posted about in the OP, but I did some digging for your specific issue anyway.

    I assume you've tried running it as Administrator? I don't really know how to help with your issue.

    Yes, it is a different issue, but I didn't want to start a whole new thread. So I figured I'D jump on and add on to this, make sure that I wasn't missing a mait issue that I didn't see a post for. Yes I have tried running as the Admin. Still got me nothing. Though I did find an article last night back from..2010? 2011? Beta time, sorry I've only been playing this game a week, and people had an issue and this is how it was resolved:

    With the error 11023, there's something wrong with the "My Documents \ Games " folder and the S.E folder in the Programs. I couldn't really understand the exact issue, but the main jist of it was you had to create a new account with Admin rights, this somehow made a new "My Documents \ Games" folder for that new user placing it where the ffxivupdate could read it. I finally got on last night around 3 a.m. and updated everything, thanks to a guide about quick torrent download vs the updater, since I did a complete re-install. So that's how I solved it.

    Problem is, I do not know what I solved..I'm blinded by the whole thing, that simply creating a new account put a folder..where it should be to be able to read. Odd part is that this computer is only a week old, I got it and the game the same day, digital download since the only store that had the CD was an hour away. Anyways, point being is that I couldn't of moved anything around so I got no real way of saying what I fixed except that I fixed it..and that kinda bugs me.

    Thank you for replying and helping me out. Still, knowing that the Run As.. option is sometimes a problem solver for these issues I'll keep in mind for future problems. Again thank you and now I'm off to work up classes!
