A Conversation Needs to Happen

There is a major issue and there seemed to be nowhere in the forum structure I can go to get a message to Square. There was an incident yesterday which 100% prevented me from fully loading the game (it wasn't just me, and it was not just FFXIV). No it was NOT any specific fault of Squares BUT a third party application (Discord) due to some error on it's part BLOCKED the game from loading. Only disabling the function in Discord could I run the game. The fact that it seems the PURPOSE of their need to send data TO Discord while the game is loading is also a concern. What data do they need to leech from FFXIV players? AND how can they abort FFXIV from even launching?

Like I said, this is NOT Squares responsibility. Directly. BUT telephone lines need to start burning between Square and Discord. Square certainly CAN block Discords software from interfering with it's own process by disabling it from the git go. Until such times as Discord stops playing fast and loose with FFXIV's players/customers.

Discord receives game information to display what game you’re playing on your profile/status.
