    World BG music not playing

    I have noticed over the past week no BG music plays in the open world/zones. The only BG music I get is in major cities or when I teleport to a city, once I leave that city the music stops and never comes on when in the open world. I have searched everywhere in settings and see no such option. Please help me figure this out.

    To clarify a bit more, please provide the following below:

    What Platform? (Steam/Windows/Mac etc.)
    Are there other programs being used when running FFXIV?
    Does this only happen to one character or all characters?
    Are the sound drivers for the device up to date?
    Lastly, are you using any external sound devices?

    Please list all troubleshooting steps you have taken to resolve the issue:
