This 1000%. I love sprouts in cutscenes, I hate skipping to the end but understand why we don't do 100% clears. My biggest fear with all the new blood from that other MMO is their system of jump up walls to skip mobs might end up happening here, which always annoyed me when I played that game. This is an offshoot of "go go go", mainly because I saw an alarming number of people supporting something in my opinion, that is toxic behavior.
I am tanking a dungeon and pulling wall to wall, and when we get to the last boss and I notice a sprout watching a cutscene. Please do not pull the boss while the sprout is mid cutscene.
"Sprouts can just teleport in and it doesn't matter if you don't wait."
Actually, during a cutscene in a dungeon you can hear boss abilities and stuff going off which will ruin the immersion. Not only can they hear this stuff going off, but it will put pressure on them to skip the cutscene, which is frankly rude.
I'm not going to let someone who pulled early die, I'll pull off them, but I will think what a rude individual that person is. When people from Japan say Westerners are selfish individuals, I think this is just one of many examples proving them right.
All I have to say is please treat others as human beings, not as nuisances that should be abused because they are a minor inconvenience.
No, we need more! This is an offshoot of "go go go", mainly because I saw an alarming number of people supporting something in my opinion, that is toxic behavior.

I mostly tank dungeons. If it's a short cutscene thats like 10-30 seconds, sure I'll wait. But if it's a dungeon like Aetherochemical Research Facility where it's a 5 minute cutscene, I'm gonna go ahead and just pull. Got no problem if the newbie watches the cutscene while the rest of the party fights. The dungeon comes up enough in roulettes where they will have another opportunity to fight and if the newbie runs dungeons with long cutscenes enough times, they will probably get sick of waiting for the long cutscene too. Why are we not allowed to value our time?

i know right? Seems like the basic weeb that do believe that Japan is the best from his hundred slice of life anime watched, they're all kind and awsome and obviously the others are rude stupid selfish "insert any insult about western world"Most of what you say is on-point. Then, disappointingly, you lose track right at the end:
A) Mistakes happen, consider that before branding someone as rude.
B) New / unskilled players might not understand the dichotomy between pulling early and sprouts watching cutscenes. See "A".
C) You don't know that the person who pulled early is a 'Westerner'. Brother might have just moved to Canada from South Korea... or Madagascar...or Mongolia.
D) Generalizing 'Westerners' as all the same is nonsense. Generalizations are imbecilic at best. See "C".
... and most importantly...
E) Take your own advice and treat others as humans, not nuisances that should be abused. Branding someone as 'rude' and (with a negative connotation) 'Western' isn't really upholding your own stated values, now is it? One with your values should chalk these things up to naivete or inexperience, instead of some 'rude, Western' agenda.
At the very, very least, even if that one single player was in fact rude, you should apply 'rude' to the individual alone, and realize that their country or region of origin really isn't relevant. Certainly not relevant enough to brand half the Earth's population as 'such and such'.
Isn't this obvious to you? It is to me.
/shrug
Japan did think like that too not so long ago, it did not end well for them maybe there is a lesson for you too in there OP.

I have been a main tank for about 9 years, and I have dealt with the Wall to Wall pulling since Heavensward. I have slowly come to HATE wall to wall pulling as all it does is make dungeons trivial. Dungeons have just become quick tomestone/seal farming runs. I very much so hope the SE looks at the older content and decides to make "unreal dungeons" happen.
I always wait for sprouts to finish the cutscenes. It's just the decent thing to do. And I if I see a sprout watching a cutscene and someone else pulls....I just stand still. I don't try and help...I just let them die. Then when they get all butt hurt and are like "Tank you need to hurry up!" I kindly tell them "No I don't....you need to wait for the first timer to finish the cutscene". It's 50/50 they leave, and I really don't care. Enjoy the penalty. Those are the moments I love being a tank....you're really in control and it's even more fun when people are in a hurrry.
As for the pulling early and DPS deciding to pull? That's a mixed bag. If I'm with friends I don't really care when I'm the MT. But if I'm with a bunch on randos or 3 sprouts? You can bet your ass I'm not going to let that shit slide.
It personally drives me nuts when DPS pull or Healers rescue me to go faster. It's not saving any time, and it's annoying.
There are so many times where a DPS is acting stupid or thinks that they can just start pulling whenever they want. I just stop and watch them panic, and the satisfaction of watching them die just puts a smirk on my face. "What an idiot!" I say to myself. Then I tell the healer don't rez them...let them run back and ponder why DPS shouldn't pull adds without a tank.
Even when I DPS I ALWAYS wait for the tank. Oh and this rescue thing that healers do....why? Just why? Are you really in that much of a hurry? Rescue just get's my blood boiling when going from pull to pull.
I have gotten to the point of if I'm in a really BAD dungeon run, a DPS is pulling mobs or gathering running ahead to gather mobs and bring them back. Or I love the healers that just don't....heal. They just spam Holy, or Gravity and can't even toss out a shield or regen...nothing, and even though they told me to pull big, but can't bring themselves to actually heal. "Oh i'll just bene you!...chill out". It literally takes NO effort to toss a regen or aspected benefic. In a group like this we'll get to the last boss...and I'll just leave. I'll take the penalty, and they can sit there and wait for a tank. I have become that petty now with this whole "gogogo" thing. Well they can "gogogo" to hell, and just sit there. I can spend my penalty mining, crafting, play my switch, take the dogs outside, and all the while I will feel great doing it knowing....those morons are probably still waiting on a tank. Feels amazing.

This behavior is considered griefing and if you told me not to raise a dps because of some ego trip I would likely initiate a vote kick or leave myself depending on the dungeon. There are so many times where a DPS is acting stupid or thinks that they can just start pulling whenever they want. I will absolutely rescue a tank that isn't pulling enough and slowing the party down. There is no reason for me to heal a tank that is doing single pulls because they simply do not take enough damage to warrant healing. For me to need to heal the tank needs to have pulled at least 2 packs. There is also no reason for me to heal when I could be applying card buffs or dealing damage myself, so I will save my heals for when they feel necessary instead of overhealing.Oh and this rescue thing that healers do....why? Just why? Are you really in that much of a hurry? Rescue just get's my blood boiling when going from pull to pull.

I hate to break it to you but I can definitely keep people healed during a boss fight even if there's no tank. Any time you do that the group probably just went ahead and cleared it themselves. In a group like this we'll get to the last boss...and I'll just leave.
