Honestly I know many would hear this and then instantly think "Melee", but I actually think a sick ranged Physical could be a whip based job, with Beast Master being the obvious choice, but honestly a fully new FF14 only job could be built around it too. The range on a whip can be fleshed out enough to keep up with other ranged DPS and wouldn't infringe upon the identity of other jobs like some other weapons would (Boomerang on Dancer, Crossbow on Bard, Pistols on MCH, etc), and it could be really flashy weapon attacks too.
