Right, and DRK had a lot going for it being a DPS but it ended as a Tank. It doesn't mean anything really. Until they release Time Mage nothing is set in stone one way or the other. Even if they say they will not make it, they can still make it happen.
+ Gaia uses Time magic offensively.
AST indeed uses some time magic in its kit. But nothing like what Gaia does.
Time Mage was usually a support job but it doesn't mean it would be one in XIV.
