Can we get an immersive mode without teleport?

Everything is nice but seriously if the developers catered to all the little niche requests on this forum they'd get nothing else done. You already have the ability to not use teleport so don't use it.

Why so aggressive? If the developers have too many other niche requests and not enough time they won't even bother with it. They are big boys and girls you know, you don't need to defend them, if they are too busy they won't even consider the idea and you don't have to worry.

You act is if it's rude of me to bring up an idea that doesn't rate high enough on your scale of importance. Sorry if that somehow offends you, it was just an idea though, don't think into it too much and don't let it stress you out.

You don't want to teleport you don't have to it's pretty simple. I'm not the only one in this thread who has commented in that matter. Did you honestly think everyone would jump on board with this idea?

Thats a pretty weird comparison.

My point - thats been echoed quite a bit here - is that what you desire its basically already ingame since you can choose not to teleport if you dont want to or only use it with your self set limitations (like you're only allowed to teleport when you're close to an aetheryte). Personally I refrain from using teleports during (storyheavy) questlines. Not clicking the teleport button is a pretty simple thing to do - if you lack the willpower to do that without any artifical limitations I feel kinda sorry for you, since that seems to be a deeper, personal issue...

I really dont see a need for a setting like this, when there is a solution already at hand - not using the teleport system. Going forward you could even refrain from unlocking any further aerthytes you encounter, there is only a limited amount thats mandatory in the first place.

The difference here is that hard battle content is already entirely optional. It's mostly instanced. You already have to opt into it. And can already opt into making it even harder by, yeah, deliberately limiting yourself. Like silencing echo or ilvl syncing.

You also already have the choice to opt out of fast travel in this game. The choice is already there.

There's also the fun (mostly semantic imo) debate between what counts as convenience vs what counts as content but I mean, that's its own ugly can of worms.

what you are really asking for, is to make it so you can more easily resist the temptation. but what if you are unable to resist even with this setting? whats the next request going to be?

If you really want to take away the temptation, remove the teleport and home button from your hotbars. honestly thats probably about as close as you will get to a setting. instead of one click you'll have to look at a map, thats fairly immersive for you right there ^^

and you can do it completely yourself without dev time by removing the buttons for immersive teleport by map if you choose ^^

easy fix. just figured you may not have thought of that

To be fair, it's an idea that would cause the devs to take time implementing and balancing it when they could be working on other things for something very few people are likely to use. Furthermore, if something like this would be considered, it would lead to 100s of other request for similar things and it would get out of hand very quickly. It wouldn't be as easy as you think to implement, for sure.
