I love GW2's battle quips, and how they even varied depending on your race. Some of my favourites...I do like how GW II does it though, where their standard attacks are just groans and shouts, but the cooldowns are voiced - it's a nice balance of having a voice, but tied to a button that's not used as often, and also works as a "hey everybody, I'm activating a raid cd!"
Sylvari when gaining Retaliation buff: "This rose has thorns, and here they are!"
Asura when entering combat: "You're dumb. You'll die, and you'll leave a dumb corpse."
Human when gaining Fury buff: "Urge to kill... rising..."
Of course, it helped that you only heard these lines once in a while, not every single time the conditions were met.
I can't even tell what they're saying lol. That would be awful in a 10 minute raid.https://youtu.be/xgybWgepseo Just gonna leave this here.
That's what kept me from buying this game. It was fun but my head hurt from all the constant shouting. And you can't turn it off, i checked.https://youtu.be/xgybWgepseo Just gonna leave this here.
The yelling is something you just kinda get numb to after playing the Tales series.
It's been that way since the very first on the SNES.
I'd take it.They could. But I like the silence better. Imagine hearing this mid fight lol:

...Though, of course, I'd prefer it just be the likes of an encounter OST.
