Thats the thing, Ive also been playing XIV since forever. And they've always had queues to get in. So you cant use excuses like a politicized and propagated wanabe pandemic, another mainstream games' player-base leaving to this ones' or an upcoming expansion or a very in the past microchip shortage (actually silicon shortage). The obvious issues have been going on since day ONE. You clearly overlooked that part, being the most important part! HONESTLY and REALISTICALLY what other TRUE MMO's do you know that you actively or have played personally in the past where once logged in you had to wait to actually play? (actual MMORPG) I can bet money right now the answer if you actually answer honestly is either zero or less than five! Yes the whole world gets FF is a popular and always has been a popular MMO and with that being said AND known, especially on SE part, they need to significantly bolster their servers. And DDOS attacks have absolutely nothing to do with servers being unstable or unable to facilitate the amount of people attempting to play at once. XIV isn't supporting any volume of player-base that hasn't been seen in any other widely popular MMO. So the issue and question still stands, when are they going to reinforce their servers so that they are able to support an "off-season" player-base let alone one with returning and new players during an upcoming expansion. It would be nice to see a response from a SE Developer instead of other players who spoon-feed excuses to SE. Before I got a reply to my post I knew I was going to get another player who would give obvious excuses, especially a year and a half, weak excuse such as covid. (people are still going to use covid for excuses even two to three years from now....watch!) Also the chip shortage was a thing of VERY, VERY early this year, sure it 's effects are still felt in the industry but it is far from some great catastrophe! Lets all stop with excuses, over-exaggerations, spoon-feeding and pandering and lets address these issues head on! But it is hard when you submit a ticket and the GM responds by telling you to post here in the forums then you get no response from an actual staff member here in the forums. Its great that they are planning on making additional servers for a couple other regions but you would have thought they would have done that from day one! So, SE when will you upgrade your servers to handle "off-season" times? Let alone full-bore times such as an upcoming expansion or other events?
