No achievement for collecting all 403 orchestrion rolls.

So I collected all 403 orchestrion rolls that you can get in the game. This excludes those that were only available for a limited time, or from codes you get when purchasing physical goods.

And there is no fanfare about it, not even an achievement, a title, glamour, another orchestrion roll... nothing.

Meanwhile people that collect triple triad cards not only get an achievement but they get a mount out of it.

It's like it was forgotten after they added The Leader of the Band VI. They stop tracking after you collect 200 of them.

Personally, I wouldn't compare Orchestrion roll collecting to Triple Triad collecting. Most of the Orchestrion rolls can be obtained by simply throwing gil at it, while a good chunk are also just rewards from story quests.
Triple Triad, on the other hand, can't really be "bought". Most requires spending MGP, farming cards off NPCs, or farming cards off trials.

That said, it's likely that new achievements for Orchestrion rolls simply aren't all that high on SE's priority list.

Well a lot of Triple Triad cards can be bought as well, with MGP. Which is easy enough to collect. Farming cards off NPCs have become far easier as well (I have all of those).

Sure, you can buy a lot of rolls with gil, if you have gil that is. And it's a lot of gil you need to spend. Especially with those with low drop rates, like anything from Omega fights, treasure maps and such.

There is also one that is tied to Mahjong, requiring a rating of 1600. Mahjong takes a long time.

You also need to win 10 open triple triad tournaments, which also take time.

Some rolls can be bought only from Beast Tribes, requiring the requisite reputation level.

Eventually I suspect some kind of achievement to be added, gotta entice people to go back and farm somehow...
There's a lot to collect, so it'd keep players busy. A busy player is a happy* player.

Hopefully before they add an achievement or reward, they'd change up how they reward orchestrion Scrolls.
Triple Triad cards have a fair bit of "grind this instanced content until you get the drop," but for Orchestrion Scrolls that feels like about all there is to 90% of them...

It's why I stated that most Orchestrion Rolls can be obtained by simply throwing Gil at it, since the majority of them are relatively cheap. There's a small amount that does cost a good amount, but Gil is just as easy to obtain as MGP.
The Mahjong one is the only roll that would take a significant amount of time to obtain, depending on one's interest in Mahjong. I'd also have to point out that the Open Triple Triad Tournament one requires winning 10 matches, not 10 tournaments.
Getting to the requires Beast Tribe ranks doesn't take all that long either.

I still wouldn't compare the two grinds, because the Triple Triad one generally doesn't have the alternative of "Just throw gil at it".

All in all, I'm not saying Orchestrion Rolls collection doesn't deserve a new achievement, but your first post makes it sound like Triple Triad collecting has an abundance of achievement rewards that aren't just more cards. The last time they got anything more than a card related reward, prior to the patch 5.55 mount, was in patch 2.51 (about 6.5 year ago).
